A Lesson From Life #1: Abang Tukang Soto

Quick chit-chat before we go to the main discussion, so....on daily basis I regularly take attention to many details that happen in my life. I think it was nature as a perfectionist? Or I am just a very curious person? and a very very active thinker? so I take everything into account, just to be a lesson for me in the future (again, as a perfectionist). I believe in learning something new every day, from every single detail that happens. Sometimes it is just as simple as discovering a unique yet I think very efficient way for a waiting line in a grocery store, where one day if I happen to have my own minimarket or a coffee shop, I will definitely implement it. Or when I see someone arguing and I happen to find this one party to be very wise on his argument, I will definitely take note of that. It is sometimes not really something big, but it may make us a little bit better from yesterday version of us :) And I think it will be exciting to write the experience down, in case I forget and one day I can re-read again about the things that I have learned. So here we go A Lesson From Life by me AHHAHAHAH:)))

Jadi kemarin pagi menyempatkan untuk lihat-lihat dunia (sekitar rumah) sebelum memulai kerja yang akhirnya berujung mau makan soto lamongan deket rumah ini! Cukup baru sih setau aku soto ini, karena dulu belum ada (beberapa tahun lalu) inget banget dulu pas awal-awal buka kayaknya kalo beli cuman selalu ada aku doang, tapi kemarin kok rame? Ahahaha udah selama itu nggak keluar jalan-jalan di sekitar area rumah. Tapi akhirnya tetep mutusin pengen makan deh, karena jadi kepo emang seenak itu ya ahahah udah lupa rasanya soalnya. Akhirnya mesen ke abangnya lumayan pake request "Gak pake nasi ya, gak pake kol, tapi pake toge" yang sejujurnya nggak berharap sepenuhnya abangnya inget sih, karena pas w dateng udah ada 4 orang yg lagi nunggu pesenan mereka, jadi pasti banyak banget yang abangnya afalin ahahahha. Ku sangat memaklumi sih kalau beliau lupa. Selama nunggu soto ku dibuat akhirnya jadi merhatiin abangnya gerak, waw he really worked efficiently somehow, he went here and there and managed to make orders for each of us. I was expecting a longer time for my order, but he managed to serve the waiting customers one by one, till he came to my table and bring my soto. It was indeed quick! Yang lebih bikin ku kagum adalah pesenan ku sesuai dong sama yang ku order, wow. Bahkan beliau naro ke meja ku soto itu dan naro semua condiment pelengkap (sambel, jeruk, kecap, gareng) di depan ku. 

Terus beliau tanya "mau minum apa?"

"Jeruk ada?"

Beliau jawab, "ada Kak"

"Oh ya boleh Mas jeruk dingin ya"

Pada saat itu harusnya beliau lagi buru-buru loh karena ada pelanggan lain yg nunggu, cuman beliau tetep  ngomong dengan tenang dan jelas banget ahahaha. Aku gitu aja kagum loh! Keren wkwkwk. Akhirnya si Mas nya langsung mesenin es jeruk ke warung di belakang. Terus akhirnya beliau lanjut lagi ngelayanin pelanggan yang lain. Selama makan jadi merhatiin pergerakan Mas nya banget! ahahahhaha

Terus beberapa menit kemudian habis lah pelanggan yang menunggu, tapi Mas nya nggak duduk diem, atau cuman main hape. Beliau lanjut lagi untuk motong-motong ayam, sayur kol, dan sebagainya, mungkin untuk pesenan berikutnya jadi udah ready semua. Lanjut selesai beliau nyiapin, beliau pergi ke meja untuk ngisi tisu-tisu yang udah mulai abis. There was no tissue on my table that time (I didn't mind tho, I brought my own and I could get it by myself if i needed it from another table), but he was thoughtful, beliau pindahin tisu di meja yang kosong ke meja ku. Kayak wow? Ini full service sekali ahahahah. 

Setelah beliau beres-beres dan reload seluruh barang di meja pun beliau nggak berenti diem, beliau lanjut ngelap mangkok-mangkok dan susun dideket gerobak. I guess it was inteded to make it easier later to prepare the dish thoo. WOWWWW aku terkagum sih. 

I learned a lot from this guy. 

• He was very efficient with his work, either it was because he has been doing this day by day so he managed to get more efficient every single day, or he actually took the time to plan it efficiently. Both are possible and very great tho! It shows how smart he is. 
• He was very thoughtful with the satisfaction of his customers. He took attention to my detailed order, he worked very efficiently to make sure the customer didn't wait too long, he spoke very clearly despite the chaos, and he gave the best service he could to provide everything that he had.

He is indeed a smart person! Thank you Mas for giving me a lesson, you deserve a great life, keep going Mas! Thank you for working so hard, the food was really great thoooo!!!
